Waterfall shopping centre and palliative care NPO team up for fundraising effort centred on literature
Waterfall, Johannesburg (12 March 2021) – The Polofields Crossing shopping centre in Waterfall has joined forces with palliative care non-profit HospiceWits to host the first-ever Polofields Crossing Book Fair. The event will take place on 20 and 21 March 2021, and will be held in a specially erected book tent in the parking area.
Books have always been a staple of the offering at the three HospiceWits shops in Johannesburg, and of its stand at the Rosebank Market, but the Polofields Crossing Book Fair promises to feature the organisation’s largest collection of books yet.
With everything from romance novels to science fiction, the event will have something for every reader. Whether you prefer fiction or non-fiction, self-help or history, poetry or prose, there’s sure to be something to satisfy everyone’s literary cravings, at great prices and for a good cause, too.
Adding to the festivities, Hot 91.9 FM and Mark Pilgrim will also be joining the reading revelry on Saturday.
Polofields Crossing cordially invites all our loyal shoppers to support this effort by dropping by on Saturday and Sunday. HospiceWits will also be accepting book donations – please feel free to bring along any pre-loved reading material when you come to replenish your stock!
Your contribution is invaluable, and enables HospiceWits to continue providing palliative care and support to the many terminal patients and their families that it serves across Johannesburg.
Visit the Polofields Crossing Book Fair in the parking area from 09:00 to 15:00 on Saturday, 20 March and Sunday, 21 March, and page through some of the literary jewels on offer.
Polofields Crossing is thrilled to be hosting this event in support of HospiceWits, and can’t wait to welcome readers to a wonderland of words – remember to get your caffeine fix from Manaka Coffee, and stock up on snacks at Super Spar Polofields Crossing before you start browsing.
