Celebrate Spring Day with Blooms of Hope at Polofields Crossing

As the first day of spring breathes new life into our surroundings, Polofields Crossing invites you to be part of a special initiative that combines the joy of gardening with the spirit of giving. This Spring Day, join us for our “Blooms of Hope” seed packet handout – a heartwarming event supporting Greendale House Palliative and Hospice Care.

Plant Seeds of Kindness

Join us this Spring Day – Monday, the 1st of September, from 9:00 to 13:00. Polofields Crossing will be distributing complimentary “Blooms of Hope” seed packets to our valued community members. Each packet contains more than just seeds – they carry stories, symbolism, and the promise of growth and renewal.

Make two special stops on your Spring Day journey:

First Stop: Kismet Spices at Polofields Crossing
Pick up your complimentary Strawberry seed packets – known as “The Red Freckled Berry.” These beloved fruits symbolise purity, passion, and prosperity. As they grow, they’ll remind you to stay sweet and kind even during challenging times.

Second Stop: Waterfall Wilds
Just around the corner, collect Sunflower seed packets – “The Golden Goddess.” Native to North America, these magnificent flowers are named for their tendency to face the sun, serving as a beautiful reminder to search for the bright side in every situation. They symbolise loyalty, devotion, and positivity.

Supporting Greendale House

Every seed packet distributed is part of our commitment to supporting Greendale House Palliative and Hospice Care, an organisation dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to those in need. Your participation helps nurture not only your garden but also the vital services provided by this wonderful institution.

Polofields Crossing Bookfair – More Ways to Support

Can’t make it to our Spring Day event? The entire “Blooms of Hope” range will be available at the Polofields Crossing Bookfair on September 13-14, also in support of Greendale House. This is another wonderful opportunity to contribute while discovering the full collection of seed packets, each with its own unique story.

The Complete Blooms of Hope Collection

Beyond the Strawberry and Sunflower seeds available on Spring Day, the complete “Blooms of Hope” collection includes:

Thyme Seeds: The Lovable, Courageous Soldier
Native to the Mediterranean region, Thyme was used by Greek soldiers to enhance their bravery. It serves as a reminder to stay strong and courageous during difficult times, symbolising romance and protection.

Carrot Seeds: The Colourful Tale
Originally from central Asia, wild carrots came in purple, yellow, and white varieties. These vibrant roots remind us to dig deep within ourselves to accomplish what we put our minds to. They symbolise abundance, fertility, and insight.

Beetroot Seeds: The Mystery of the Mystic Beet
Travelling from the Middle East, the heart-shaped beetroot was often used to encourage love and well-being. It reminds us to stay grounded and not rush through life, symbolising protection, love, and stability.

Chamomile: The Queen of Calm
Originating from Europe and Asia, chamomile is believed to transform negative energy into positive energy. It reminds us to stay calm so we may think clearly, symbolising tranquillity and relaxation.

Gifts That Keep on Growing

After the events, you can still purchase the “Blooms of Hope” seed packets at Greendale House Thrift shops. They make thoughtful gifts that spread joy, beauty, and meaning while supporting a worthy cause.

Join us this Spring Day at Polofields Crossing and be part of a community initiative that plants seeds of hope, kindness, and support. Together, we can make a difference while celebrating the renewal and promise that spring brings to our lives.
